2.  My friends tell me that when I tell them a story about something that happened, they get pictures in their heads of me as an anime character doing all these things in the story…

3. I’m totally addicted to my iPad! Can’t go outside the house without it ❤

4. One of my dreams, is to be working in a nail art salon in Japan. That would be sooo amazing! But really hard competition thou…

6. My philosophy is that if there is something you really want to do, you can make it happened! Like my Japan trip, I never thought in the world I would have the money for it, but i just ordered the tickets and saved up all the money I could for 8 months and or something, and I made it!! And I have no regrets!!

Got my nails done in Japan!

I have been home from Japan for almost 10 days now, and it is kinda depressing actually… I really miss Japan and can’t wait to get back there! Also, I didn’t get to blog as much as I hoped too, but I’ll write some now. Better late than never, right?

One of our last days in Japan, Ida and I went to get our nails done at TK Nail Palette in Shibuya, right before we were going to climb Mount Fuji, haha ( I think I will make a post about Fuji-san later). This wery stylish salon, and nail art school, are not so easy to be found, as it is at 3rd floor next to a parking house. But some of the girls who work there speaks really good english, and they are really talented! And so cute too! (*^o^*)

TK Palette Helene

I really adore my new nails! I’m so glad that gel nails keeps their finnish so good for so long! Yaaay! Love them! ❤  p( ^ω^ )q

TK Palette Ida

Ida wanted something simpler and cleaner, and I think that the colors and style really suites her well! So cute!

Thank you TK Nail Palette for making our nails beautiful!(*^◯^*) Here are their website : http://tkpalette.jp/

Oh!One last thing! On our last saturday in Japan, we went to La Foret, Harajuku again, and the shop girl whose nails I posted before, came running towards me and said ; “Look! I got new nails now! *\(^∇^)/*”. She is so sweet and cool!! Here are her nails ❤ Gotta love the holographic :3

Kyoto! -Too excited to sleep!

We are now at Kyoto, Gion! This is the most amazing place I ever been! To come to the ryokan where we stay (Yoshimizu Inn), you have to walk trough the park/garden too a huuuge shrine! Or this is optional doh since you can walk arround it too…

It is white, orange, really beautiful and I don’t remember the name. I will write it in the comments when I do, haha sorry. But the garden! Oh my god it is so d**n beautiful! It’s just like a fairytale, or taken straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie! It is so large, I bet that if I find a hidden path and follow that, I will surely find Totoro! ❤

The ryokan is also so amazing.  They make you feel so welcome and so at home and even tell you “itterasshai” when you leave! This place is so more traditional than I hoped for, from the surroundings, the atmosphere and the building. Right now I’m lying on a futon that we had to roll out on the tatami mats :3 Sugoi neee?? Haha

Good night for now, I will post some photos tomorrow! We are getting a guided tour in Kyoto! ^^,

Cooking in Tokyo with Mari

Cooking class with Mari Cooking class with Mari, group photo

This Wednesday ( 17th July) me and my friends had a japanese cooking class! Mari, who were our cooking teacher was so nice! Together we made Okonomiyaki, also known as japanese pancakes, Onigiri, Sunomono ( japanese pickled salad), Dashi soup and Miso soup.  We all got to take the recipe back with us, wich is really nice so we can try them at home!

The course was held in Mari’s own home, and we also had a man from Sweden taken the course with us! It was really fun to have someone who we could talk norwegian with( norwegian and swedish people can speak our own language to each other and we understand what the other part are saying! ).

One of the reasons we wanted to take this cooking course was so we could learn more about traditional japanese home-made dishes and how to use the weird ingredients we have no idea what is. there was specially one that stood out, and that was something they called Chinese Yam. I think it is a kind of root vegetable that you peel like a carrot. The big difference is that when you peel, it get slimy and slippery as a soap! Even your fingers are dripping with slime, haha, kinda grose 😛 After you have peeled it you had to rasp it. Then it become just slime! And it is the slime you want! It makes the Okonomiyaki fluffy and foamy, almost like when you whip the white in the egg. But Mari then told us that it’s better to not use the Chinese Yam at all rather than replacing it, if you can’t find it in your home country. Good to know.

We all really enjoyed this cooking course and had a lot of fun! Mari is so nice and the food tasted so good! We really felt welcomed in her house. If you ever are in Tokyo, I highly recommend you taking this course!

If you are curious and want to know more, here is her blog; http://japanesecookingclasstokyo.wordpress.com/ Please check it out! ❤

A super short review of my Japan trip so far!

It’s been a long time since my last post now. I didn’t mean for it to be this long, but when im back home in the apartment I’m sooo tired..!

This post is not about nails, it’s a sidekick, if I can say it like that. Haha. First of all, Japan is so amazing!! It’s 10 times better than I thought! Even if you don’t speak japanese, all you really need to know is how to be polite, modest and to say thank you.

What’s so exciting about Tokyo is that it is so big! And every part of it are so different! We are living in Daikanyama, that are more high-class with rich people and expensive shops. But 15 minutes too walk from here is Shibuya, that is more a trendy ( trendy is maybe not the right word since a lot of things can be trendy) place and a hot meeting point.

Today we are going to Harajuku, we went there yesterday, but we were kinda late so we didn’t get to see much. Harajuku is the place to be for street fashion and vintage clothes! I met these cute girls who wanted to take a picture with me ❤ They where so kawaii and very typical Harajuku.

There also is Akahabara (we are thinking about going there tomorrow or today if we can make it. Akahabara is the place for the geeks and cosplayers ❤ haha if you want anything electronic or anime related go there! Even the locals says that Akahabara are like a new world! I can’t wait to see it!

I posted some photos, click on them if you want to know more about the thoughts behind it. I can’t figure out how to post a photo and put a text under it, and a new photo under there that has text under that again….help me if you want, please.
