Asian nailbeds… So long… Here after Removing Gelish! Look how clean and nice!
It was time for me too to change my nails, and since I had a lot of blue tones from IBD Just gel and Gelish I wanted to use them together!
Ofc, since I usually can’t just leave things as it is, I mixed the colors a bit, added more yellow in the dark blue and made the color on the free-edge more transparent, and added a bit of white to the middle color. And finished it all of with gold and a orange stone in the contrast color ( almost contrast color..), aaand a bit of glitter!
For this fading I used my Gelish brush 🙂
I hope you like it! Nyaaa～ (^o^)v bye bye!
I’m so sorry for not updating my blog ( I was just too lazy and had enough with school, exams and other personal stuff ) , but now I can proudly say that I’m out-examined as an Nail Technician at Tone Lise Akademiet! The time went by way to fast! I wish I could stay there 6 more months….
There is a lot that have happened, and a lot that have happened, but I wont make a post about that now… ☆彡
I want to talk about nail biting, and a costumer of mine from the school salon who came to me with almost no nails at all, and they was very thin and damaged. Also, her nails grows unnaturally fast ( something that is good for her, since it then are easier for her nails to heal). So every 2nd week she came to me for acrylics and loads of glitter, and after christmas they was long enough to wear only Gelish!
The main reason for her to why she wanted acrylics, is so she could not bite her nails. This is what I believe is the most efficient way to quit nail biting, since it’s too hard, plus most people don’t want to ruin their nails if they look good.
Why is it important to not bite your nails and the tissue around? It’s not only for the esthetic, but you also eat up your Hyponychium, which is a part of the nail bed that is visible from underneath your nails free-edge. The Hyponychium is a barriere that prevents bacteria and dirt from entering between your nail bed and nail plate. If this is hurt the chances of infections and the nail lifting from the nail bed is increased.
Also, it’s not natural for the nail to be this short, so your finger tips will protect itself by making the skin thicker. This will go back to normal when your nails grows back to natural length again.
Here is her before and after pictures that she sent me! The difference is amazing! )^o^(
Hello! Sorry for not posting anything the last two weeks, I hoped that I would post anything while I was in L.A., but that was not possible… The schedule was packed the whole week!
If you want to see photos, here is a link to Goldwell Norways official Facebook album! Pictures of me is in the second half of the album, btw 🙂
This is a summary of what I been doing the week before I left and this week ^^, It is not so much ( I often forgot to take picture of my clients nails…) but it’s something! The same week as I was leaving the country we had an red-nailpolish competition in our class, and I won! Yay! 😀 I was quite suprised since under practise (we had 1 hour practise time) I almost gave up and wanted to drop the competition 😛 Glad I didn’t. Haha
I also did my nails for the Goldwell Colorzoom hair coloring competition, and one of the clients who just had her nails done said she wanted the same as mine next time! I was so excited! Finally some clients that want design on their nails ^^,
A friend of mine wanted her nails done for the first time! She is a hairdresser, and we both thought that natural acrylic nails would be best for her, since french would probably get discolored of all the hair coloring ( she told me that her nails usually get ugly due to hair coloring). The good thing about all natural acrylic nails is that you can’t paint them in what color you want and change color without ruin the acrylics. As long as you use acetone free nailpolish-remover though.

Hey there! Another week at school has gone away so fast, and I’m really having fun! Even the days are long, but kind of not long enough… It’s the time when I get home that’s not long enough 😛
This week i have been experimenting with Gelish! I really like working with it! I also did a Gelsih spa-pedicyre, but didn’t get a picture of it. Also, the acrylic 3D- art I did last week, I now tried on my own short nails to give myself an extra hard task! it actually worked out well! So I’m pretty proud og myself now, hehehe (=^ェ^=)
What do you think?? ^_^
I have been going to nail technician school ( Tone Lise akademiet) for 4 weeks now and we have learned, and still are learning (!!) how to do Gelish manicure and pedicure and acrylics!
Here are some pictures of what I have made untill now ^_^ Most of them are requests from my clients who are coming to our student salon 🙂 At the pictures with two hands, I have cooperated with one pf my classmates since we are still too slow to make a whole set! xD haha
Also, the set with 3D art was my first try in 3D art! I just wanted to practice brush control with the acrylic and didn’t expect it to work, so I’m really happy with it （＾ω＾）
